Abstract
This article examines Dorothy L. Sayers’ Strong Poison (1930), focusing specifically on the novel’s critique of justice for women under patriarchy. Representations of justice and its subversion are analyzed, focusing on the gender coding of crime, gaslighting, and sexual shaming, producing a fresh feminist reading of this canonical novel.
