Abstract

This keynote considers some of the bald spots, blind spots and blank spots of research in education for sustainable development. It raises questions about what teacher education can and could do differently in the face of converging global crises. It introduces a framework of educator competences developed by an international research project led by the University of Gloucestershire and delves deeper into the implications of what it means to take some of these competences seriously.
