Abstract

Creating more impactful physical education experiences has been highlighted as key for nurturing a commitment to movement amongst young people. Meaningful Physical Education is an approach to teaching physical education that seeks to priortise the likelihood that young people will find their experiences positively memorable and lead them to position movement as an integral part of their daily lives. In this conferenece workshop we explore the approach in more detail, consider how we transfer this into our teaching practice and look at some of the evidence supporting this approach to date.
