Abstract
Introduction by Jon Wood. Tony Cragg's artistic work unfolds in a restless process of exploring the possibilities of materials and reshaping the world around us. His observation that "there are many more things that don't exist than do exist" points to a source of objects and forms that are still beyond our perception. For Cragg, sculpture is a method of tapping into this enormous potential of new forms and the meanings, visions and languages associated with them.
