Abstract

Habiter le Vide - Julien Gorgeart', an exhibition at the Cholet Museum of Art and History, Cholet, France was part of "Take Art!" - a contemporary art season in Anjou. This involved a partnership between the Department of Maine-et-Loire, the Pays de la Loire Regional Contemporary Art Fund, and the Cholet Museum of Art and History and the co-production of an exhibition by Julien Gorgeart. Julien Gorgeart presented two series of his paintings, 'The Sensitive Feast' and 'Time That Does Not Pass'. This was complemented by a dialogue with other artists works selected from the Frac des Pays de la Loire collection. Besides Billingham, these selected artists were Boris Achour, Gerard Byrne, Gregory Crewdson, Marie Denis, Lili Dujourie, Anna Gaskell, Thomas Huber, Jean-Claude Latil, Miki Leal, Rose Lowder, Robert Malaval, François Morellet, Florence Paradeis, Eric Poitevin, and Yvan Salomone.
