Abstract

The exhibition was the 1st Open Photography Exhibition in the Royal West of England Academy's 150-year history. Photographs dominated the space for the Through The Lens exhibition. More than 300 items were selected from open submission of over 2,500 images and displayed alongside a group of works by five invited artists.The pieces on display at the Queen's Road venue were wide-ranging, some controversial and provocative and others more traditionally beautiful and serene.
