On the 13th of May 2006, Island6 Arts Center hosted the first Platform for Urban Investigation, a nomadic research facility that has subsequently been held in various locations around the world: Paris, Amsterdam, Rio and Sao Paulo. The Platform for Urban Investigation was founded to bring together Architects, urbanists, choreographers, dancers, visual artists, musicians, writers, philosophers and curators in research of the urban environment. The exhibition played host to installation, performance, real-time audio and video streamings from all around the globe, essays, photos, drawings, conversations and interviews.
