Abstract
Enterprise and entrepreneurship, the key focus of this book, and this new series, is now part of a rich and growing discourse in business management education. In this chapter, the editors express the way in which the context (sector, geography, demography and political backdrop) informs and manipulates the style of enterprise and entrepreneurship. Therefore, each of the following chapters considers the specific juxtaposition, or intersection, if you will, between the ‘contexts’ upon enterprise and entrepreneurship. This introductory chapter introduces the series, this book and the contextualisation that brings enterprise and entrepreneurship alive.
