Abstract

Photographic work from Billingham's series 'Rays a Laugh' was exhibited in 'Officina Europa', Villa delle Rose, Galleria d’Arte Moderna, Bologna Italy curated by Renato Barilli (9 October - 28 November 1999). The exhibition then toured to Chiostri di San Domenico, Imola, Italy; Ex Fabbrica Arrigoni, Cesena, Italy and Palazzo dell' Arengo, Rimini, Italy. Other participating artists included Marc Quinn, Gavin Turk, Liam Gillick, Suzy Gomez, Franz Ackermann, Mark Francis, Mark Wallinger, Gillian Wearing and others. There was a fully illustrated catalogue with text by Renato Barilli.
