Abstract

Early Photographic work from Billingham's series of urban landscape work made in 1997 was exhibited in 'Close Echoes Public Body and Artificial Space' The Prague City Gallery, Czech Republic, (6 March - 31 May 1998). It also toured to the Kunsthalle Krems, Austria (20 September - 22 November 1996). Other participating artists were Christine Borland, Veronika Bromová, Mat Collishaw, Dinos & Jake Chapman, John Frankland, Douglas Gordon, Lukas Jasansky / Martin Polak, Alex Hartley, Mona Hatoum, Gudrun Kampl, Elke Krystufek, Abigail Lane, Michaela Moscouw, Markéta Othová, Petrbok, Jiří Příhoda, Sam Taylor-Wood, Kateřina Vincourová, Maja Vukoje and Cerith Wyn Evans. There was a fully illustrated catalogue to the exhibition.
