Abstract

This painting is one of a series of three works in which the ground was painted with conscious gesture. In Lacenet, paint was combed into the wet ground so that the marks bridged intuition and chance. The ensuing investigation sought to bring structural organisation to the broken and irregular waves of paint. This process investigates how networks and communications are constructed and how social organisation occurs.
