Abstract

The quest for consistent and reliable information on customer and product profitability has challenged the IT systems and infrastructure in many companies, as they migrate from legacy systems to more integrated packaged software. In this environment, the data warehouse can play a key role in accumulating, cleaning and analysing data from various internal systems and external sources. This paper outlines how this is being pursued at drinks company HP Bulmer, and what lessons can be learnt from experience to date.
