Usability Evaluation is used for the graphical user interface of the glucose monitor apps. The interface visual evaluation methodology combines qualitative usability testing and quantitative usability evaluation to present a visual design checklist for the glucose monitor apps. The checklist was evaluated in two stages: the first evaluation phase with a professional designer of human-computer interaction, and the second evaluation phase with diabetes evaluating the product interface. The visual design checklist build, and the MiniMed™ Mobile app was selected as the visual design checklist test product for this study, demonstrated its capacity to assist development teamsin meeting usability criteria. In conclusion, the checklist can be a valuable tool for evaluating the user interface of the diabetes apps, hence preventing errors and increasing patient acceptability of the glucose monitor interface overall. The results of the usability evaluation have led to recommendations for inclusive design and design for home medical device interfaces, which contribute to the design of medical product interfaces in a beneficial way.
