Abstract
An examination of the concept of transmedia as both an adjective and a noun, with the proposal of a new term - 'Holarchic Media' - in place of Transmedia-as-noun, to apply to those media experiences which are fundamentally transmediated, and for which no other term is sufficiently relevant.
