The ‘DigiKnow: Using Windows Movie Maker’ course provides a brief introduction to this freeware video editing software created by Microsoft. As part of the course students watch a short video tutorial and are then set the task of creating their own WMM video. They can either use their own videos and/or images, or they can choose to use the practice resources provided. In addition to WMM information the ‘mini’ course also provides a number of additional guides and resources, including a basic introduction to Creative Commons and Flickr. This ‘mini’ course is accessible from the ‘My home’ page in Moodle and can either be completed by students in their own time or it can form part of a face-to-face session. For more information, please contact Learning Technology Support (firstname.lastname@example.org).
